I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten again at Burns Park Elementary. I have been working with readers and writers for 20 years as a classroom teacher, reading teacher, and literacy staff development consultant. I have a Masters in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University, and completed my undergraduate studies at Indiana University. I have collaborated with Reading and Writing Workshop at two think tanks: The Teachers College Reading and Writing Project and at The Indiana Partnership for Young Writers and have also studied the Reading Recovery Program. I live in Ann Arbor with my husband, two children, and a therapy-dog-in-training. I enjoy reading, watching my children’s sports teams, board games, singing, and tap dancing. The Roderiques are active volunteers with Canine Assistants, Therapaws of Michigan, the Burns Park Players, and 826 Michigan.
